How to Create a Profile on Glassdoor
Step 1 – Go to https://www.glassdoor.com. Click the Sign In button found at the top. A box will pop up and below the box you will see: Don’t have an account? Sign Up. Click Sign Up.
Step 2 – At the sign-up page, enter your email and create a password then click Create Your Account.
Step 3 – On this new page, enter your job title and location and hit Continue. A new box will pop up which prompts you to fill in more info, including employer name and company, and to upload your resume. After you do all this, click Continue.
Step 4 – The next page will ask you to rate a company. You can skip this by hitting Skip for Now.
Step 5 – The new page will ask for more information, such as Salary Details, Job Details, Gender, and Are you a current or former employee? I recommend skipping these things, as some of it is too personal. You can do this by hitting Skip.
Step 6 – Go to your email to verify your account by hitting Activating Account. This will allow you to set up job alerts and apply to some jobs with a quick apply.
How to Look for Jobs on Glassdoor
Step 1 – Go to https://www.glassdoor.com and click Jobs in the top left corner.
Step 2 – On the jobs page, you can search for jobs 3 different ways: Job Title, Keywords or Company; Location; Jobs. Below you will find more info on each.
a) Title, Keywords or Company – Search for jobs either by job title, keywords, or company. I recommend company.
b) Location – You search for jobs by location by typing the name of the city where you are looking for a job.
c) Jobs – In the drop-down, you are given a choice of searching by Jobs, Companies, Salaries or Interviews. You should choose Jobs as that is what you want to search for.
